Meersbrook Park’s Bowls Big Weekend event on Saturday 27th May has attracted some high-profile attendees.
Insurance group, Aviva, are the official partner of the Big Bowls Weekend and they have selected our event to send representatives to! Aviva is chief sponsor of Bowls England, who are organising the weekend with support from the BDA, BCGBA, English Indoor Bowling Association and Disability Bowls England.
As well as representatives from Aviva, Meersbrook Park will be welcoming Mark Bircumshaw, the Chair of British Crown Green Bowling Association, who is also delighted by the progress of the club here at Meersbrook Park.
Local councillors are also expected to join the celebration of what is set to be Meersbrook’s fastest growing sport in 2023!
Please come along and bring a friend to this family friendly event which starts at 10 a.m. The public will be able to try bowling and enjoy drinks and home-made cakes in what promises to be sunshine.
