The Meersbrook Park Bowling Club Crowdfunder appeal reached its end date today (29th June) having raised just over £5500 – more than 10% over the target.
Huge thanks to those involved, including the local business who supported us and all the new members whose pledges will now help fund vital improvements around the club, including better kitchen facilities, repairs and replacements to seating, new sets of bowls and bowling equipment as well as work on the green to keep it as one of, if not the best in Sheffield!
Club membership is now in the 70’s – a skyscraper climb from around 15 at the start of the year!
New members are continuing to join with several now playing in league games or on the ongoing, flexible, members in-club tournament, “The Ladder”, while others are happy to play socially.
